“Avengers: Endgame” The End of an Era

After the tragic events that took place at the end of Infinity War, half the population remains in the universe. On April 26th, 2019 Avengers Endgame hit theaters all over the world. The action packed movie is the highest grossing film of all time, making 2 billion dollars in the opening weekend worldwide. The movie is about 3 hours long, making it the longest among all the other 21 Marvel Avengers movies. The film stars actors Robert Downey, Jr, Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and Jeremy Renner as the original Avengers. The movie begins with Tony Stark trapped in space with no food and water supply left. As the oxygen starts to run out, he sends a message to his wife, Pepper Potts. Meanwhile back on Earth, the remaining Avengers attempt to bring back their fallen allies to face off against their biggest challenger, Thanos. This long awaited movie received a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, it has received mostly if not all positive reviews. One of the top critics, Oliver Jones, writer from the observer stated, “What you will be getting when you walk into an inevitably overstuffed movie theater is something singular that reflects our age in a way that none of the MCU films that preceded it have-indeed, very few Hollywood spectacles ever have”. Another top critic, Matthew Norman from the London Evening Standard commented on the film saying, “The only complaint about Avengers: Endgame is that it raises the bar so high that there may well never be a superhero movie to match it”. The majority of critics recommend going to see this incredible film.
