Boardman Schools Television Network proudly received a state award for the hard work they all have accomplished on Monday, Nov 12. A group of students participating in the program, Megan Frye (Senior), Matthew Welton (Senior), James Valentin (Senior), and Sam Holter (Sophomore) submitted a video to the Ohio School Boards Association in an attempt to place. The students involved in the award put in 100 hours of their free time, just this year, to make the video.

BSTN is a full production student program that focuses on broadcasting, live production, and post video and audio production. The students are in charge of filming many sports events and all Boardman Preforming Arts Center events.

The award received is the “Video Production” award for “Stand Up For Public Schools”, presented by the OSBA. With an additional $750 to benefit the program. The recipients won first place out of 63 other entries.

The head advisor, Chris Clones states “Now that BSTN is an award winning program, it will help recruit students in future years as well as help build students resumes and applications for college.”
