Youngstown is a great town full of history. The Youngstown area is well known for all of it’s Italian restaurants. Antone’s is one of those restaurants that’s been around here for a long time.

Helen Scianna Gianfrancesco had a great passion for homemade food. She also had a dream to open her own restaurant were she can use her own unique homemade recipes for different sauces and salad dressings. Helen’s dream eventually came true when Antone’s opened in 1961 on Market Street in Boardman. Helen had a great impact on the area and got some attention when she got to cook for sports legends Dan Marino, Joe Montana, Tommy Lasorda and she cooked for the Beach Boys.

Antone’s is a great family restaurant to go to when you want Italian food. A well known dish is the Chicken Parm. They also have various outstanding appetizers. If you have family coming from out of town that wants good Youngstown Italian food, Antones is a good place to go. Antone’s has moved to various places all over Youngstown. It’s currently in Boardman on Boardman-Canfield road near Handles.
