Summer has come to an end, as it begins to get colder and the leaves start to change, we all are trying to figure out activities to do during these autumn months.  Here are a couple places your whole family could visit and enjoy themselves. The Maze Craze Corn Maze is located at 14070 Woodworth road in New Springfield,Ohio 44443.  The theme of the maze this year in Peter Pan, “The Boy Who Wouldn’t Grow Up”. The admission is $12.00 for general admission, ages two and under are free. They also have many combinations available for admission.

It is separated into four different mazes that each have a different level of difficulty, ranging from easiest to hardest. The first maze is the easiest maze intended for younger children, it is the blue maze and is called Tinkerbell’s Toadstool. There are 18 checkpoints in the maze, it includes farm animals and Farmer Joe. This maze is 0.4 miles long.

The next maze is the black maze called Tinker Bell, in the show Peter Pan, Tinker Bell is one of Peters close friends. This maze is the second most difficult one, it is one mile of paths leading many different ways. The theme of this maze is like the game, “Clue”.

The following maze is the green maze, called Captain Hook, he is one Peter Pan’s enemy. This maze is 2.5 miles trails, this is one of the harder ones. It has 6 checkpoints scattered all around, this game is much like the game “Monster Mystery”.

The last maze is the red maze, called the Crocodile, this is fear of Captain Hook. You will find Peter Pan and Captain Hook’s  pirate ship in this maze. This maze is 4.5 miles long! It has 6 checkpoints that you will encounter going down the path. The Green and Red mazes are the most difficult and competitive out of all four.

Other activities to take part in at Craze Maze Corn Maze are, the brand new cafe, corn hole, kiddie zipline, tire playground and so much more for the whole family no matter what age. This is a family friendly activity, that will bring lots of entertainment and many memories.

Another area to visit is the White House Fruit Farm. It is located at 9249 State Rt. 62, Canfield,Ohio 44406. This is a family owned market and farm, it has been established since, 1815. It has grown a lot during its 90 years of being a business.

White House grows around 20 different apples, this is one of there most popular product. They do not only sell apples but they also sell many other crops including, strawberries, blueberries, pumpkins and so much more. Produce is sold in a barn that was renovated in 1881, it is open all year ‘round. Additionally they sell deli meats and cheese, also in the bakery they sell donuts of all different flavors, homemade fudge and many other specialty foods.

Some activities happening at the White House Fruit Farm is, the Fall Festival that run through Sept. and Oct., but there are also activities that take place all year round for the whole family. They also have attractions for kids from wagon rides to ziplining. Most of their festivals are on Sat. and Sun..

White House is open Mon.-Fri. 9:00am.-6:00pm. and Sat. 9:00am.-5:00pm. And Sun. 11:00am.-5:00pm.

Some other activities that are happening in the community this autumn are the Pumpkin Walk at Twilight and Nightmare at Canfield Scaregrounds.

Pumpkin Walk at Twilight

On Oct. 14th from 5:00pm-8:00pm, Fellows Riverside Gardens at Mill Creek Park hosted a pumpkin-lined path at twilight. The whole family could have carved a pumpkin to be featured in the event at the Service Building on Oct. 11th-13th between 9:00am and 3:00pm. You could’ve also attended the “Beyond Triangles and Circles” lesson from Master Pumpkin Carver Ron Roberts on Oct. 9 from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Here you would have learned how to make a perfect Jack-O-Lantern and how to do other cool designs. Information on this event is on Mill Creek Metroparks website at

Nightmare at the Canfield Scaregrounds

The Scaregrounds is a series of spooky attractions you can walk through with your friends to get a scare. They have six attractions including Barn of Evil, Gore Reformation, The Slaughterhouse, Zombie Paintball Massacre, The Last Ride: Haunted Hayride, and, new this year, Haunted Circus. The Scaregrounds are open on Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00pm-12:00am, on Sundays from 7:00pm-11:00pm, on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 7:00pm-11:00pm, and on Halloween night from 7:00pm-11:00pm. The last ticket will be sold a half hour before close each night due to the length of time needed to get through all the attractions. You can find this information on their website at
