St. Patrick’s Day has an impact on many businesses around the world and locally as well. Places such as McDonald’s, Krispy Kreme and Dunkin’ Donuts all offer St. Patrick’s Day themed treats around this time along with various activities throughout the community.

At McDonald’s, they offer their well-known Shamrock Shakes, which are mint flavored and green like a shamrock. Also, Krispy Kreme has their original glazed donuts, but with a green color special for the holiday.

Lastly, Dunkin’ Donuts offers green frosted donuts and a new mint brownie flavored donut, filled with brownie batter and topped with mint green frosting and brownie pieces. Along with these, bars and restaurants around town such as BW3’s and O’Donald’s in Austintown are offering green beer in spirit of the holiday.

On St. Patrick’s Day, The Magic Tree Pub and Eatery has live music all day long, along with an authentic Irish breakfast. Also, there is a “ShamRock the Block” in downtown Youngstown that includes green beer, green pancakes and live entertainment throughout the day. Mill Creek Park is also hosting an event, Lookin’ for Green, for an approximate three mile hike from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
